I was born and raised in southern California before moving north for college. After that, I kept moving north until I got to Oregon, the home base for most of my fictional worlds. Deep down, I always knew I wanted to write stories, but I quickly found that many people are skeptical when that’s your life goal. When I majored in English and creative writing, a lot of people asked me the same question: Do you want to teach?
Unsure of what I wanted to do -- but knowing I didn't want to teach (just the thought of standing up in front of a room full of people gives me nightmares) -- I ended up working as a technical editor, a newsroom clerk, a health care reporter, and a public relations writer before my husband asked me, “What do you really want to do?” For better or worse, he encouraged me to take the leap, and when self-publishing became a reality, I jumped in. I now have several published novels, including four books in The Ever Series; The Darkly Dreaming Series; the 18+ College Girl Series, and Unremarkable, the first book in my sci-fi (18+) series, The Potential Future Chronicles!
