And to all my wonderfully awesome cuzzies who took the time to nominate the book -- love you guys! You're the best.

I have 28 days left of my Kindle Scout campaign, and every nomination counts! It was such a rush to get onto the "Hot & Trending" list last night, but it requires a lot of sustained interest to stay there. Nominating a book is easy. Follow the link and then click the blue "Nominate me" button above the sample chapters.
https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/1HARZNP1IFEIP And to all my wonderfully awesome cuzzies who took the time to nominate the book -- love you guys! You're the best. XX Thank you so much to anyone who's voted!!! Let your friends know! Keep the momentum going! If it gets selected at the end of the 30-day period, anyone who nominated the book gets a free advance copy from Amazon!
Click here to vote (and read previewed chapters!): https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/1HARZNP1IFEIP If there's one truth to being a writer, for me, it's this: There will always be someone who's better. No doubt about that. For a long time that truth inhibited me. What could I offer? I just happened to be watching the movie trailer for "Rebel in the Rye" (starring Nicholas Hoult) about the life of author J. D. Salinger. There's a line toward the end of the trailer, spoken by Kevin Spacey's Whit Burnett. He tells Hoult's Salinger: "Imagine the book you would want to read, and then go write it." I'm never going to be in a league with the likes of Salinger, but I think that line is sound advice. Hey, it worked for Salinger, right? ;-) For the longest time, I couldn't imagine writing a novel. Then I wrote my first one, and I realize now that it was purely to write something I would want to read. I've tried writing things that I think other people would want to read, but there's no heart there. Here's the trailer to the movie, if you're interested. Now check out my Amazon Kindle Scout campaign for my new book Unremarkable: https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/1HARZNP1IFEIP ;-) Here's Amazon Kindle Scout campaign page actually linked!
;-) https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/1HARZNP1IFEIP Let me know what you think of the first few chapters! Go my Amazon Kindle Scout page for my new book "Unremarkable" and nominate the book now! If it gets enough nominations in the next 30 days, you get a free advance copy, courtesy of Amazon!
https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/1HARZNP1IFEIP XX CJ I'll be posting a link tonight around 9 p.m. (PDT).
And now back to writing! Woo hoo! I just got an e-mail this morning from Amazon's Kindle Scout program, informing me that the Kindle Scout campaign for my new book Unremarkable will launch on September 7, 2017 12:00 AM EDT and end on October 7, 2017 12:00 AM EDT!
Link coming soon! I just submitted my latest endeavor to Amazon's Kindle Scout program, so I should find out in the next couple of days if the book gets accepted for a campaign. ... If it does, I'll be posting a link. The more nominations I get on the book, the more likely it is that I'll get a contract -- if I do, anyone who nominated it will get a free copy of the ebook from Amazon!
Wish me luck! Stay tuned! It's FINALLY done! My first venture into adult science-fiction/dystopian is done after a year and a half ... and it got so long that I had to split it into two. ;-D
This time, I'm going to be doing things a little differently. ... I've decided to submit this one to Amazon's Kindle Scout program, which allows readers to nominate books they're interested in seeing published. This means I'm going to need help in the form of nominations if the book gets accepted for a campaign! The upside is that if I get enough nominations and the book gets selected, you get a free advance copy from Amazon! To be fair, this book (series) is not for everyone. It's like a darker, grittier R-rated version of For Ever ... Mystery, thriller, sci-fi, dystopian, romance. Expect profanity, violence, and sex scenes that don't fade to black. If this series doesn't sound like your cup of tea, feel free to ignore it -- but I really would appreciate nominations! Details to come shortly ... and with any luck -- a link to the Kindle Scout campaign. Keep your fingers crossed! I'll be sending out an e-mail with details whether the book is published through Kindle Scout or not. The more nominations a book gets, the more likely it is to be published through Kindle Scout, which means free advance copies!!! 1. My latest opus turned out to be more than 600 pages long.
2. The only song I listened to while writing the first ten chapters of the book was White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. 3. This is my first adult sci-fi/dystopian novel. 4. I have several potential titles. 5. The last song I listened to on repeat while finishing the book was Be Brave by Tropic of Cancer. I'm in the middle of the editing process. Stay tuned for updates!
