In any case, once James is live, I'm hoping to get back to my latest YA/NA paranormal/dystopian thriller. Crossing my fingers that the magic is still there.
Until then, I'm just going to sit around watching the countdown timer. ...
Have I mentioned that I hate waiting? It seems like the last month waiting for James, the College Girl spin-off, (18+, explicit content) to come out has taken forever. And not the good kind of For Ever. ;-)
In any case, once James is live, I'm hoping to get back to my latest YA/NA paranormal/dystopian thriller. Crossing my fingers that the magic is still there. Until then, I'm just going to sit around watching the countdown timer. ... It's here! All four books in one package for half off the cover price -- or FREE on Kindle Unlimited!
And the Amazon Giveaway I ran earlier today? It was over in less than 45 minutes! I barely even knew that it had started. For those who are new to The Ever Series, let me know what you think! CJ As I've mentioned, The Ever Series omnibus edition is coming out June 1. To celebrate, I'll be running some Amazon giveaways. Here's one of the potential giveaways:

For those waiting for James, the College Girl spin-off, to be released on June 15, I'll be running a giveaway for my Sheila Grace site, too. I'll announce both on Twitter! Quick little teaser over on the Sheila Grace site. You know the drill -- this title is 18+, not intended for sensitive readers.
C. J. titles = YA paranormal romance Sheila Grace titles = Adult content, not intended for sensitive readers and/or those under 18 http://sheilagrace.weebly.com/sheila-graces-blog So ... The Ever Series omnibus is coming out very shortly. Then, a couple of weeks later, James (the spin-off to College Girl) will go from pre-order to live. To celebrate, I'll be running some Amazon giveaways for both C. J. Valles and my alter ego, Sheila Grace.
Stay tuned! I'll be announcing them here and on Amazon ... A Summer Of EverOn June 1st, I will be releasing -- for the first time *ever* -- The Complete Ever Series Omnibus with all four books. I'm also in the process of planning a giveaway or two this summer, so stay tuned! James ... Is Here! That's right, College Girl fans. James is up for pre-sale, and here's a sneak peek of the first two chapters!
Click here to pre-order on Amazon! Remember, 18+ only and not recommended for sensitive readers. Who's ready for summer reading season? College Girl fans, please commence happy dancing! My editor is nearly three-quarters of the way through the spin-off featuring James McDevitt, the jerk you loved to hate. There's still lots to do, so I'm aiming for an early summer release. Besides, 4th of July weekend has always been a lucky weekend for me. (Right now, I have no plans to release a pre-order, so you'll find out right here. For anyone who wants advance warning in their inbox, e-mail me and please specify that you want to receive a link to the College Girl spin-off as soon as it's released. I don't want to send anyone on my mailing list a link to the new book if they're only interested in my PG/PG-13 titles. If you really want a copy of the book as soon as it comes out, I may add a pre-order option on Amazon.) I will keep you posted, and teasers will be forthcoming as soon as I have a cleaner draft to work with. Even after going over the manuscript a million times, I still find stuff -- and then my editor finds even more. :-/ What can you do? It's a process. But I believe in happy endings ... after a whole lotta drama! Again, like College Girl, this book is NOT appropriate for sensitive readers and/or those under the age of 18!!! I can't stress this enough. For anyone waiting for content more along the lines of The Ever Series, check out Will Kincaid in my Darkly Dreaming Series. (He was my first hero before Ever!) I will also post when I get further along on my current work-in-progress, which is more sci-fi/end of the world -- it is a nail-biter! Lastly, for those curious about the music that's been fueling my editing process ... Rest assured, I have not fallen off the face of the Earth! I was working on a brand new project that had a will of its own and took over my life for a while there. Now I've taken a break to wrap up my review/edits for the College Girl spin-off, which should be up for sale right in time for summer reading (and the third anniversary of College Girl!) -- assuming my editor kicks it into high gear and gets it done fast as opposed to slow. (I, of course, prefer the fast option!) I can't say too much about my new project, except to say it's brutal. My poor protagonist just goes through hell. I'll share more about that book when it's a little further along. I don't know if this explains anything, but here's what I've been listening to while working on that one (available for purchase on iTunes): In the meantime, College Girl fans, get ready for James. Again, this book is definitely only appropriate for those 18+ who are not offended by provocative material (language, explicit content, violence, drama, etc., etc.) ... You've been warned. :-)
It's an antique. It's kinda creepy. What do you think?
In other news ... I've been flipping back and forth between three separate books lately. Apparently my powers of concentration do not want to focus solely on one book. So I've been bouncing between the very end of the College Girl spin-off, a humorous detective novel I started 10(!) years ago, and I've even gone back to my college-age paranormal romance (think For Ever-ish set post-high school). Even though I said I was taking a break from the paranormal, I couldn't stay away for long! The rough first chapter of the paranormal romance is available in Extras. Thoughts? Looking for what to read next? It's time to check out The Darkly Dreaming Series (formerly Aven's Dream).
From a Dream, the first book in the series, is only $0.99 on Amazon (or free through Kindle Unlimited!) Get it here! |
